We met in December
in the produce isle of the grocery store.
By January we were dating,
her beauty and charm was hard to ignore.
I said, “I love you” in February
while I was holding her tight.
In March she gave me her innocence,
she said she was ready and the timing was right.
April was when she said “I love you too”
my heart skipped a beat, maybe two.
Her parents accused her of doing heroine in May,
they were wrong, it wasn’t true.
In June we moved in together,
every night I got to hold her close to me.
July was our first serious fight
it proved how strong our love could be.
it proved how strong our love could be.
We took acid together in August,
and saw the world like never before.
In September we bought our puppy Bella,
who is not so little anymore.
October was her pregnancy scare,
I was excited and terrified all at the same time.
I knelt and asked for her hand in November,
I would have done anything to make her mine.
December was her funeral,
She had a heart attack while I wasn’t home.
That girl gave me everything,
and all I have for her is this sad little poem.
